ABOUT US

The Island Store is a food cooperative, owned and operated by both the year-round and seasonal people of Isle au Haut. The store is dedicated to serving all those who live and visit the island. We are governed by our members who meet at the annual Association meeting in August when they elect the Board of Directors for the ensuing year.

If you are returning to your home or staying at a vacation rental, we welcome advance orders. Email us a list with at least a week notice, and we will do our best to make sure that your kitchen is well stocked upon arrival. We carry a wide variety of groceries, dairy products, produce, frozen items, gas, kerosene, and souvenirs. Call or email to check availability.

The Island Store, in collaboration with the Congregational Church, hosts Tuesday’s Table throughout the winter months, providing a free, home-made meal to all residents. Volunteers make stews, cookies, salads and bread for everyone to come together and share.

The store is working hard to expand and improve our wine section. We recently added eleven new wines and will be adding more in the coming weeks as we prepare for summer.
